Sophie is an experienced neonatal intensive care nurse, with countless hours of breastfeeding support experience and a trainee IBCLC. She has a wealth of knowledge, hints and tips to help you feel confident staring your breastfeeding journey. 
 

Groups are small so that Sophie can answer any questions and give everyone a personalised experience.

·      Colostrum harvesting – 37 weeks onwards
·      The all-important First feed
·      Latching and positioning
·      Feeding in the early days and nights
·      Milk! When the milk comes in, what it’s made up of and why it’s the perfect and adaptive first food for your baby
·      The importance of breastmilk for the pre-term baby
·      Cluster feeding and growth spurts
·      Expressing and storing breastmilk
·      Improving your milk supply, oversupply and donating your milk
·      How long should you continue to breastfeed  
·      Keeping the non-breastfeeding parent involved, how they can support breast feeding, and bond successfully.
 
Plus there are lots of opportunities to ask questions along the way and remember no question is stupid when it comes to feeling confident with your baby.
