Becoming a grandparent is such an exciting time, however it can be quite stressful for the new parents and conflict can often come up from outdated advice and views. Our grandparent confidence course is designed to avoid those issues so that you can enjoy your new family member, safe in the knowledge that the advice your giving is current & evidence backed – This session is a quick update on how to care for a new baby and to help you find out what’s changed since you had your own children, but most importantly how to support them in their new role as parents. 

What do we cover?

1. Feeding – Supporting the decision to breastfeed and safe bottle feeding.
2. Crying – Coping with crying, responsive caring.
3. Safe sleeping – New guidance 
4. Car seat safety – The law and safe use of a car seat
5. How you can support new parents – Emotionally and practically
6. Basic First aid – Choking, bleeding, when to seek help.
7. Q&A – signposting to support groups

Cost – 2 hr course £69 per 2 grandparents – Advanced booking only
